The event was successfully held, and I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated. It was especially delightful to see young children enjoying and participating in the event alongside us.
I believe that learning beautiful posture and graceful movements from a young age can have lasting benefits throughout life. Most importantly, it promotes good health. Next year, I plan to host separate classes for adults and children to better meet the needs of participants.

I was deeply moved by my first experience watching Japanese dance. Through this experience, I also felt inspired to incorporate graceful gestures into my daily life. ✴︎ "This was my first-ever experience with Japanese dance. I learned how to gracefully open a folding fan, as well as tips on posture and engaging my core muscles. Our instructor, Ms. Hiromi Onoue of the Onoue School, was always smiling and made everyone feel at ease.
When she entered the room, it felt as if flowers had suddenly bloomed. I learned that her movements stemmed from grounding her weight in her feet, while expressing flexibility through her upper body. It was very insightful.
She explained everything slowly and clearly, sometimes even demonstrating by allowing us to feel her movements, so we could better understand how to control our strength. She observed each participant carefully, providing gentle guidance that made the session flow comfortably.
I also learned that expressing beauty is not just about outward appearance, but also about strengthening oneself from within. Graceful movements bring confidence, and I felt emotions welling up in me that I had never experienced before.
While I’ve always been mindful of my posture, the instructor’s explanation of how proper posture enhances grace helped me understand it on a deeper level. I felt immense gratitude toward my parents, who instilled the importance of good posture in me, and this realization left a strong impression.
By the end of the workshop, my body felt aligned and refreshed. Before this experience, I had associated Japanese dance with being difficult, tiring, and overly formal, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it completely different. I’m also grateful to the wonderful participants who shared this time with me. Even sitting in the traditional seiza position became a little easier by the end. The session concluded with everyone united in smiles—it was a truly memorable experience."
